 Extremely sturdy bonesSep 03, 2010
I bought one of these to see if it could withstand our five dogs, all beagle/terrier mixes. I was skeptical because they are very strong chewers and have torn apart toys that claim to be indestructible. The second I gave it to the dogs, they were all fighting over it and playing tug-of-war. I could not find any marks or signs of wear the next day, which is major in our house. We have dogs and puppies of all different sizes, so I ordered another small one and a large one. The large size has bigger notches on the ends and my smaller dogs/puppies actually prefer this one because they can gnaw on it better.
All the bones still look brand new after a week of solid abuse, so they get my vote! They are flexible and won't hurt your dog's teeth or neck like some other toys. I love that these are eco friendly, they clean up easily, and they float. The price seemed high at first, but it's worth the money because they will last forever and I won't have to keep buying toys just to throw them away after five minutes. Happy chewing!

Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Diamond Plate Orbee Ball, Orange - rubber bouncy balls that float and hold up to my tough chewers
Kong Ultra Black 3 In - my dogs tear pieces off the regular Kong and have yet to put a scratch on these

I have had this for a couple weeks now, have 3 german shorthair pointers and so far none of them have been able to chew it up. And they have been working pretty diligently on it. I can't say it is indestructible, but so far, they have gnawed on it constantly and have not been able to chew off any pieces. I would recommend it for those dogs that are just chronic chewers. Is definitely lasted longer than anything else I have given them to chew on.

I rarely review products, but I felt that I had to on this one. The Hurley actually holds up to its claim of being indestructible. I have one pit/lab mix and one blue lacey. The blue lacey can go through a brand new kong in about 30 mins. I've never seen that happen before, but apparently from other reviewers, it is more common than I thought. Anyway, I purchased this off of Amazon, and within the first hour, she had tiny teeth marks in the rubber, and you could see a couple places where it was almost tearing. I thought that it would only be a matter of time before this was in pieces on my living room floor. To my dismay, this product is still in one piece. While it does have teeth marks / little hairline tears, it has held up for 3 months now! My dogs play tug-o-war with this all the time, and it is still going. A must purchase for a destructive chewer. I have also purchased the westpaw design ball,and the S shaped one. The ball has held up almost perfectly as well. The S shaped product was torn in half due to tug-o-war, but they still play with it, and can only seem to take off a chunk every couple weeks.
PS - I live by the ocean, and these are great for fetch as they float and come right back even if the dogs cant find it the first time.

Play fetch in the pool. Easy to throw. Easy for both our 75 lb and 25 lb pooches to retrieve. More than 3 years and still in great shape - only a little discoloration from chlorine and sun - still work perfectly. We have 20 so we don't have to spend all our time picking them up all around the pool. Our dogs LOVE them.

I have a 100 lb. yellow lab. He loves to chew and I could never find anything that would last--until now. The Hurley chew toy is virtually indestructable! They last through daily chewing for about 6-8 months. Unlike rawhide chews (his favorite) there is no risk to their stomachs from digesting the rawhide. Love it and always recommend it to my other "dog friends"!!
